Several months back Michael Lee (myspace.com/michaelleeacoustic) and I discussed recording some music in his apartment. So he stuck some microphones in my vicinity and we came up with 12 tracks of songs I’ve been keeping to myself for a while. Michael Lee, Dan Masquelier, and Mark Robertson all helped with the instrumentation and production. On Friday November 6th, the self-titled album will be available at our Cafe Coda show and online. I am lucky enough to be in Chico for a week. I’ve had strong coffee from Empire, swam at Upper Park, and have had a delightful feeling of insatiable boredom that I treat as a welcoming luxury. I have been back east for the last few weeks and I’ve done minimally productive things in the conventional sense, but very productive activities in other senses, like watching the Mets and eating watermelon in the park.
