As this blog is being written, we are happily sitting with full bellies in our Friend, Kenny’s apartment. We have been lucky for the past few evenings to have met up with many generous friends who have been more than helpful during our stays in assorted cities. There are many examples that could be provided– the Ticky Tacky joyride with Kelsey at 3am in Olympia, corned beef meltdowns at the Hof, but one instance looms prominently in all of our minds– Karaoke at the Ambassador.
Upon arrival at this sing-song sanctuary, I was experiencing a hunger that could be only be satisfied through the ingesting of $14 poo-poo platter. I assured our server that I could tackle the beast all alone, contrary to what she had seen in the past, and based on her offer of extra plates so I could share with my friends. The next thing I knew, Pat and I were serenading the crowd with an off-beat version of TI’s ‘Whatever You Like.” Leslie, a true Karaoke pro, had provided with one of our best experiences thus far, and hanging in Oregon and Washington has been a blast.
On another note, we received an angry letter on our tour vessel last night, and we would like to address this matter. Immediately upon reading the note, Pat began to fume and produce flames from his ocular cavities. The photos that follow should provide a clear example of what I’m attempting to articulate.
