I’ve never truly felt like the money you pay for a haircut is ever worth the outcome. In fact I can’t remember a haircut that didn’t make me look like a little boy. But that has all changed. I received a haircut from my friend Leslie yesterday and now I feel more comfortable around strangers. Thank you to Leslie. Thank you to Jeremy for setting up our show in Portland. It was a sweaty, messy show that was a great start to our northern escapades. Thank you to Michelle for owning a cupcake shop that is a music venue. Red velvet cupcake with vanilla frosting. Delish. And thank you to Kelsey and Linda for being the most amazing hosts in Olympia. We leave in the next hour or so to go to Seattle! Stay tuned.

Well we are two days into our “tour,” and I put it in quotes because I’m not sure that it holds its true connotation considering we are still in Chico. I’m questioning whether or not the “tour” is just a fictitious event I’ve created in my head. Tonight we go to Paradise to play, and what do we do after that? We come back to Chico. I always thought a “tour” would require more travel. I’d like to introduce a new member to our band of heathens. His name is Scott Harrison. He is from New Jersey. Look at his face and study it.

Hey everybody! I just updated all of our shows through the end of June so our “Tour Dates” page will be a reliable reference. Our tour goes from June 4th-June 27th. When the tour starts we will be using this website to blog about the shows and experiences, so stay tuned.

On Sunday, April 12th we will be playing a concert along side Fera (www.myspace.com/ferasongs), Reed KD from Santa Cruz (www.myspace.com/reedkd), and The Water Tower String Band from Eugene (www.myspace.com/watertowerstringband). We have to sell tickets because there is limited seating in Cafe Flo.
The tickets are 8 dollars and you can buy them from me-I can bike to your desired destination and maybe we could chat and not talk about anything weather related. If that feels awkward, you can also buy tickets at Cafe Flo (365 E. 6th St.). There are also tickets at Cafe Flo for a benefit we are doing for Africa University in Zimbabwe on Sunday, March 29th. Help squash civic disengagement.

Daisy says, “You better be at Cafe Coda at 8 pm sharp this Saturday to hear some good music, or I’ll get ya.”
