Chico News & Review

Portland Mercury

Fairfield County Weekly

“Pat Hull, a Connecticut-born singer/songwriter who makes his home in Chico, Calif., has that rare, Jeff Buckley-like ability to sound explosive and intimate at the same time. He also comes across as both lonely and alluring, but that’s common to puppy-eyed folk rockers who we imagine have rewarding sex lives. Hull has released three albums of emotive, acoustic guitar-driven songs out in Chico and he comes to Cousin Larry’s for a homecoming tonight.”

“Pat Hull. This guy just absolutely slayed me. High, clear as a bell voice that hits you right in the solar plexus. Heart-wrenching lyrics. He’s a youngster but has an old poet’s soul for sure. He and his girlfriend drove 20 hours from New York to play here on the Gulf coast, and I am so very glad they made the trip.”
